It's now more important than ever to conserve energy and reduce our energy costs. Many of us try but fall short. Control4 wireless lighting solutions can make saving energy automatic.

Lights controlled by Control4 dimmer switches can be set to come on at lower than 100% brightness. Even if you had the lights on at 100% when you turned them off, the next time you turn them on they will reset to a the lower default intensity. Programming the lights to come on each time at less than 100% intensity saves money and prolongs the life of the bulb. See the chart below:

It's almost impossible to perceive the difference between 90% and 100% brightness of a bulb. So by just reducing the default intensity on setting by 10% you also save 10% in energy costs.

Have you ever had that feeling that you left a light on in the basement? Put an end to late night whole house recon missions. With an "All Off" button on a 6 button keypad on the night stand next to your bed you can turn off all the lights in the house with a single push. Not only can a single button turn off all the lights, but also TV's can be shut down, garage doors can be checked and closed, and the security system turned on as well.

With a Control4 LCD touch screen, the SR250 remote, or even your iPhone or iPod you can control lights anywhere in the house. Additionally you can create your own custom lighting scenes. Or program the system to use a motion sensor to detect when a room is not in use to turn off lights. Set one button on your night stand keypad to light the way to the bathroom with nicely dimmed lights. Come home at night to a lit house when using a Control4 key fob remote to open the garage door.
