  • Choosing "Remove Hold" in Control4 will set the CT80 "End Away" status.
  • All interaction with the CT80 WiFi Thermostat is done directly over WiFi.
  • The driver properties must be entered and set in the order in which they are listed in the Composer Properties window.

CT80 WiFi Thermostat
Driver Version: [v1.1]

Online Documentation:
Technical Support Site:

Control4 integration driver for the CT80 WiFi Thermostat. Once the Thermostat IP Address is populated,
the current status is retrieved.

Dealer Notes:
* All interaction with the thermostat is done directly over WiFi.
* The license activation process starts immediately after setting the License Key property.
* All driver features are disabled until the driver is activated.
* The driver properties must be entered and set in the order in which they are listed.

Scheduling Notes:
When you press the Save button in Navigator, the change may not show immediately. The new schedule is sent
to the thermostat, which must process it first, before returning the new schedule. This process can take several
seconds to complete.

It is recommended that you use either the physical thermostat to setup scheduling, or this driver
to setup scheduling, but not both. Conflicts could occur. Control4 only allows a single schedule for
both Heat and Cool setpoints, whereas the Radio Thermostat products have a seperate schedule for Heat, and
a seperate schedule for Cool. If you use this driver to manage your scheduling, it will push the same schedule
to both the Cool and Heat programs. For example, if you have 3 Cool Setpoints on Monday and 2 Heat Setpoints on Monday,
this driver will merge the programs based on the amount of Heat Setpoints. You will lose 1 Cool Setpoint in this scenario.
If you have 2 Cool Setpoints on Tuesday and 4 Heat Setpoints on Tuesday, you will gain 2 Cool Setpoints when they merge.
From this point, the Heat and Cool programs will be in sync, based on what you see in Navigator.

License Key:
This is the license key purchased to activate the driver.

License Status:
This is the status of the license activation.

Thermostat IP Address:
This is the IP address of the thermostat, e.g.

Polling Frequency (seconds):
Set the data polling frequency in seconds. Please note that decreasing this value to less than
10 seconds could overwhelm the system.

This is the current status of the connection.

Debug Mode:
Used for debugging the driver. Output is displayed on the Lua tab.
Print and Log

This driver provides several device specific programming opportunities.

-PMA Line #: Value
This allows you to write up to a 5 digit number to the Price Message Area on the screen.

-UMA Line #: Value
This allows you to write up to 16 characters to the User Message Area on the screen.

-LED Control: Option
This allows you to control the LED on the front panel of the thermostat.

-Remote Temperature Mode: Option
This allows you to turn the remote temperature mode on and off programmatically.
Remote temperature mode allows you to supply a temperature value to the thermostat from a remote source.
The thermostat will then perform all HVAC operations based on the supplied value.
There are two ways of supplying this driver with the value. If you have a value you wish to pass that is
already of a STRING type, you may use the 'Remote Temperature' command.

If you have a value of a NUMBER type, you must set the RemoteTemp variable found under
this driver->Device Variables. You must then call the device specific command 'Update Remote Temp By Variable'

Your thermostat will continue to use the last supplied value as the current temperature.

-Remote Temperature: Value
Used for setting remote temp to a STRING value. Passing a value will automatically turn remote temp mode ON.

-Update Remote Temp By Variable
Used for setting the remote temp to a NUMBER value. This value must be set in Device Variables->RemoteTemp.
This command will then update the Remote Temp with the value inside Device Variables->RemoteTemp.
This command will automatically turn remote temp mode ON.

-Night Light: Option
Change the screen backlight level.

-Save Energy: Option
Enable Save Energy Mode.

-Lock Mode: Option
Change the Lock level of the thermostat.

-Humidifier: Option
Change humidifier mode.

-Dehumidifier: Option
Change dehumidifier mode.

-External Dehumidifier: Option
Change external dehumidifier mode.

-Air Baffle: Option
Change air baffle mode.
