There are often times when you have a single thermostat capable of heating or cooling only but want to couple or combine it with another thermostat that is handling the opposite tasks. This often happens when using a mini split HVAC unit. Now you can use this driver to solve that problem and provide enhanced functionality such as Auto mode where the driver manages the heating and cooling without the risk of running both at the same time.

Driver Features

  • Couples two discrete heating and cooling systems into a single thermostat UI
  • Supports any V2 thermostat
  • Use can configure which thermostat to get the temperature from
  • Works with the latest Control4 thermostat UI
  • Supports Celsius and Fahrenheit
  • Fan mode, set point, hold and presets are all implemented
  • Full scheduling support through Control4
  • Dealer selectable deadband setting
  • FREE 48 hour trial. Simply download the driver and install with no license key.

OVERVIEW
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This driver combines two discrete heating + cooling systems into a single thermostat proxy.

Installation:
[1] Enter a license key.
[2] Select a cooling device. ThermostatV2 devices are supported.
[3] Select a heating device. ThermostatV2 devices are supported.
[4] Select a device to obtain temperature information from.

Usage:
The thermostat will always display temperature information from the device chosen in the "Get Temperature From" property. Select an HVAC mode to set selected HVAC modes on the heating and cooling devices.

Setting HVAC mode to "Cool" will turn on the Cooling Device and turn off the Heating Device.

Setting HVAC mode to "Heat" will turn on the Heating Device and turn off the Cooling Device.

Setting HVAC mode to "Auto" will determine which devices to turn on/off based on the average of the two device's temperatures, and their respective heat/cool setpoints.

If the Temp. Avg is below the Heating Device's heat setpoint: Turn on the Heating device.
If the Temp. Avg is above the Cooling Device's cool setpoint: Turn on the Cooling device.

Setting HVAC mode to "Off" will turn off the device specified in the "Get Temperature From" property.

Other commands including Setpoints and Fan mode are forwarded to the corresponding device's proxy.
