History

HouseLogix was founded in 2008 by entrepreneurs Ted Rosenberger and Chris Allen. The company began as a professional custom integration company focused on delivering high quality automation solutions to residential and commercial customers throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. From the beginning we took great pride in providing a superb experience for each customer, from initial consultation through final training and ongoing support. We aligned ourselves with high quality control systems such as those from Control4 and Lutron Electronics, and we are now among the nation’s leading experts in these product lines.

In 2010 we were contracted by Lutron Electronics to develop Control4 drivers for Lutron's lighting, shade and temperature control products. Now, we maintain the entire portfolio of Control4 drivers for Lutron's various product lines including Homeworks QS. Since 2009, we have designed numerous software applications, Control4 drivers and 4Store applications for various major manufacturers.

In 2011, we officially launched the product division of HouseLogix, and later that year we released our first hardware product, the HouseLogix Honeywell Integration Module (HHIM), which is used to integrate Honeywell alarm panels with modern control systems. In May 2013, the VoicePod Zigbee™ tabletop device was released after three years of development and extensive beta testing. VoicePod is a groundbreaking new class of device capable of speech-enabling any home. The VoicePod invention was awarded US patent 8,340,975 in 2012. VoicePod is poised to revolutionize the way people control, interact with and receive information from their home. We are hard at work developing additional VoicePod products including a Wi-Fi tabletop VoicePod and a VoicePod Mobile iOS app, both of which use our exciting new cloud-based architecture for unprecedented voice control flexibility.
